Location: Negotiable across the District for the successful applicant, based within an MLHD site. Must be willing to travel to Wagga regularly, as required.
Remuneration: $109,857.00 - $129,624.00 per annum (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the Opportunity:
As the Contracts and Procurement Officer, you will drive the implementation of procurement policies, systems and performance frameworks to support best practice and deliver compliant, efficient and effective outcomes. In this role, you will:
- Deliver best practice procurement through the implementation of policies, procedures, systems, and performance frameworks to ensure compliant, effective and efficient outcomes.
- Strengthen governance and capability by applying risk management frameworks, supporting contract management, building procurement capability, and promoting innovative approaches to meet business needs.
- Monitor compliance and performance by leveraging systems to manage procurement activity, contracts, and adherence to legislative, policy and regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed and responsive by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of sector changes, emerging trends, and relevant audit and government obligations.

About You:

Demonstrated knowledge of government procurement practices, with experience managing contracts, tenders and compliance aligned with policies and legislation.
Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and complex tasks.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, supported by strong computer literacy and proficiency in business systems.
