We have an exciting opportunity in the Clinical Applications Services team for a Computer Desktop Engineer.

The  Computer Desktop Engineer, Ambulance Clinical Systems, CAS is responsible for delivering expert-level support the integration of desktop systems with enterprise applications and cloud services and the  design input of end-user computing environments, focusing on Microsoft Windows operating systems to ensure the stability, security, and performance of desktop infrastructure, supports software deployment, and contributes to the development of desktop standards and automation.

What you will do

As an integral member of the Clinical Application Services, Ambulances Team, you will:

  • Manage endpoint security, software packaging, and deployment using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/Intune).

  • Provide advanced support for Windows desktop environments, including configuration, deployment, patching, and troubleshooting.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating environments (SOEs) and group policy objects (GPOs) to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Monitor and maintain desktop performance, availability, and user experience through proactive analysis and resolution of incidents.

  • Provide technical input into projects involving desktop infrastructure, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.

  • Collaborate with service desk and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement improvements.

  • Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to streamline desktop management and support.

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Windows desktop environments in a large enterprise or government environment.

  • Detailed knowledge and working experience in configuring and deploying Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems.

  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM/Intune), Active Directory, and Group Policy.

  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and configuration management.
