About the role - Community Registered Nurse
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Community Nurse who thrives in autonomous practice while contributing meaningfully to a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role requires confidence in independent day-to-day decision-making, alongside the ability to engage with a broader clinical team to deliver holistic, client-centred care.
You will be well supported through strong clinical governance, with access to your line manager and Clinical Nurse Educator, as well as Community Nursing Clinical Nurse Specialists across the Integrated Care network. Additional guidance and expertise will be provided by Wound Care Clinical Nurse Specialists and Clinical Nurse Consultants within the region.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality community nursing services across clinic and home-based settings. Your practice will encompass, but is not limited to, advanced wound care, urinary catheter insertion and management, and the care of peripheral lines and continuous antibiotic infusions. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, refer, escalate, and coordinate care, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients and their families.

Walcha Multipurpose Service offers a wide range of healthcare services, including emergency care, residential aged care, and community health support.
You will be working within the small, tightknit Community Health Team based at Walcha MPS.

Requirements:
Currently Authorised to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Additional Information:
- Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions. Please note: if your contract ends before the agreed completion date, you may be required to repay a portion of the incentive.
