What you'll be doing
The Clinician Researcher Physiotherapist takes a lead in planning and supporting clinical research, evidence based practice and quality improvement for the department and across MNCLHD. This includes taking a role in service development and evaluation, advanced reasoning and clinical practice skills in the management of clients of a novel or complex nature, as well as providing expert consultation and education across the area of specialisation.
The Clinician Researcher Physiotherapist position is linked to the Pathway of Care for people with chronic musculoskeletal conditions living in RURAL, regional and remote Australia using allied telehealth (PACE-RURAL) trial.
This project aims to implement an evidence-based clinical pathway to improve health service delivery for people with chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions living in rural, regional and remote Australia (PACE-RURAL). The position will facilitate a consumer-focussed approach to research, working collaboratively with the clinical team, research team, consumers and where appropriate family members or carers.
- Bachelor degree in physiotherapy or equivalent qualifications for registration or eligibility for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated high level organisational, prioritisation and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
- Demonstrated experience in participating in clinical research and knowledge of the research process.
