The Kids Oncology and Leukaemia Trials (KOALA) team offers an exciting opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful - advancing childhood cancer care through world‑class clinical research. We are seeking a passionate, organised and motivated Clinical Research Officer to coordinate national research projects led by the Kids Cancer Centre, contributing to improved understanding and outcomes for children with cancer. In this role, you will work closely with clinicians, researchers, and external stakeholders while supporting high‑quality, ethically sound clinical research. As a Clinical Research Officer, you will: Coordinate and support multi‑centre, national research projects Drive stakeholder engagement across clinical, research, and operational teams Develop project documentation, study materials, and standard operating procedures Manage ethics submissions and ongoing governance requirements Contribute to high‑impact research that directly benefits children and families This position provides a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of paediatric oncology research within a collaborative and highly skilled team.   1. Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in clinical research and data analysis, ideally within a health-related field, or a combination of both.
  2. Effective statistical analysis skills and use of statistical software e.g., Stata, R, SAS, etc.
  3. Highly proficient in computer programs including MS Office, with advanced MS Excel skills and experience with managing multiple databases
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to build successful working relationships with all levels of staff, management and collaborators.
  5. Excellent organisational, and time management skills and ability to prioritise to manage competing priorities.
  6. Capacity to work well in a team under minimal supervision, and willingness to contribute to broader research projects across the KCC.
  7. Demonstrated success conducting research activities with minimal supervision, with identifiable research output.
  8. Familiarity with research data governance and human research ethics principles and their application to the analysis of data.
