Clinical Psychologist - Head to Health Kids Hub
Child & Family Health Services Directorate

About the role

New service. New team. New approach.
You’re invited to take a lead role.

The Head to Health Kids Hub is a new community-based service providing mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years with mild to moderate emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges, and their families. This new service is part of a nation-wide roll out of Kids Hubs jointly funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government. Located in Orange with satellite services in Bathurst, we’ll be using flexible and creative approaches to increase the well-being and functioning of our clients, guided by a new model of care within a multidisciplinary framework.

As a Clinical Psychologist at the Head to Health Kids Hub, you’ll provide psychological assessment, case formulation and therapeutic intervention. You’ll take a child centred approach but will extend your scope to focus on the families and carers of our clients to provide a truly wholistic health service to our community. You’ll flexibly deliver adaptive interventions for a range of behavioural, emotional, psychosocial and health problems both independently and in conjunction with Head to Health Kids Hub staff and external service providers.

You’ll have the benefit of practicing within an experienced multidisciplinary team including allied health, nursing and medical staff reflecting the Hub based nature of the service, which will add to the scope of the support you’ll receive and be able to provide.

As well as your clinical role, you’ll use your expertise to help shape the future direction of a new and dynamic service and build capacity in the community.

This is a temporarily funded position until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
