About the Opportunity 
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologists to join two multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality psychological and psychosocial assessment, interventions, and consultation for children aged 0 - 12. Our Child Development Assessment Service (CDAS) is offering a temporary full-time or part-time role until 30 June 2027 and The Child and Family Health Team is offering a temporary part-time opportunity until 31 July 2026.

Our Child Development Assessment Service (CDAS) focuses on comprehensive developmental assessments, evidence-based treatments, and detailed clinical reporting within an experienced and dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team that provides developmental assessments for children, contributing to their overall wellbeing and outcomes.

The Child and Family Health Team delivers high-quality clinical interventions, including general and specialist assessments, evidence-based treatments, and comprehensive reporting. We work collaboratively with children, families and support networks.

What You'll be Doing
To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.

The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development
and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.

How to Apply

  1. Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis
  3. Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  6. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
  7. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
