The Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit (Brolga) is located in Hornsby. Our service provides a safe and therapeutic environment for 12–17-year-olds experiencing mental health problems. Two Temporary Part Time positions are available for 0.63 FTE (24 hours per week) and 0.82 FTE (31 hours per week).

Where you'll be working
The Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit (Brolga) is located in Hornsby.

What you'll be doing
To provide day-today clinical leadership, support and supervision to the allied health team in the CYMHS Inpatient Unit. 
To take a senior clinical role in the management of complex cases and maintain a clinical caseload which will involve direct clinical work with adolescents and their families/carers and other relevant parties.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Current full registration with AHPRA and Masters or Doctorate level post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part-time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of adolescents with high level acuity of mental health issues. Knowledge and expertise in contemporary practices in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
  3. Demonstrated clinical leadership capacity and clinical supervision skills.
  4. Experience, knowledge and skills in care planning, family engagement referral and follow up.
