About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to support learning, development, and clinical excellence within our 32-bed acute mixed medical unit. Our team is made up of dynamic, enthusiastic, and compassionate nurses who are committed to providing outstanding patient care.

Our unit cares for a diverse range of patients including:

  • Palliative Care

  • Rehabilitation

  • Acute Stroke

  • Aged and Cognitive Impairment

  • Cardiac Telemetry

  • General Medical patients
     

As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play an important role in supporting staff development and promoting best practice. You will act as a mentor and preceptor, helping build confidence and capability across the nursing team.

This role is part-time and worked as a Tuesday morning shift, making it a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while still contributing to clinical education and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clinical learning and professional development of nursing staff

  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate unit-based education programs and assessments

  • Deliver training and support staff in developing clinical skills and procedures

  • Foster a positive learning environment through mentorship and preceptorship

  • Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and broader education team

 

About You

You are passionate about education, professional growth, and delivering quality patient care.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)

  • Relevant post-registration qualifications in clinical practice or education, or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of teaching methodologies and the ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate education programs

  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
