About the Role

As the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), you will lead orientation and ongoing education across three key areas: the Outpatient Oncology Unit, the Infusion Lounge, and the Medical/Palliative Care Unit.

Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will identify learning needs, design and deliver structured education, and provide one-on-one coaching to ensure staff feel confident, supported, and equipped to deliver safe, compassionate care.

You will also play a crucial role in supporting the service’s quality and safety activities, contributing to audits, incident management, investigations, and performance development reviews.

You won’t be alone in this role! You’ll receive support from the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of each unit, the facility’s experienced educator network, the Director of Nursing & Midwifery, and the broader Cancer Network across HNELHD.

Together, this strong support system ensures you have guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to thrive in your educator role.

A typical week brings meaningful variety - facilitating education, responding to staff learning needs, collaborating with leaders, and championing high standards of person-centred care across the cancer and medical/palliative care pathway.
