Glen Innes Hospital is looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to support our growing workforce, strengthen clinical capability and help create a culture where staff feel confident, supported and connected from day one.

Located in the heart of the New England region, Glen Innes Hospital is a 24-bed Level 3 rural hospital providing emergency, medical, obstetric and day surgery services. With a $50 million Emergency Department redevelopment underway, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.
 


About the Role

Reporting to the Health Service Manager, you will be a key part of building capability across the hospital. You will:

  • Lead orientation, induction and onboarding for new staff
  • Deliver mandatory training and clinical skills assessments
  • Provide engaging education across diverse clinical environments
  • Support staff transitioning into rural and regional healthcare
  • Develop and deliver education aligned with LHD priorities
  • Build strong relationships across clinical teams and health services
  • Contribute to staff confidence, development and retention
     

From Basic Life Support and infection control to clinical skills and mandatory training, your work will have a direct impact on the safety and confidence of our workforce.



About You

You’re a Registered Nurse who loves to teach, mentor and bring out the best in others. You’ll be confident engaging with staff at all levels and able to tailor your approach across a diverse rural healthcare environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Nurse 
  • Relevant postgraduate clinical or education qualifications, such as a Graduate Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Experience delivering education or Train the Trainer programs, including Basic Life Support
  • Strong communication, facilitation and organisational skills
  • Understanding of SDPR and mandatory training requirements
  • Essential: AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and hold relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications
  • Essential: Current Workplace Training and Assessment Cert IV or willing to work towards
