About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

Nepean Hospital, in proud partnership with the McGrath Foundation, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse Consultant (Early Breast) to join our Multidisciplinary team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families experiencing a breast cancer diagnosis.

As a McGrath Breast Care Nurse, you will provide expert Clinical Care, Education and support from diagnosis and treatment through to recovery and survivorship. You will work collaboratively with Surgeons, Oncologists, Radiologists, Allied Health teams, and community services to ensure holistic, patient-centred care.

The MCCN plays a pivotal role in facilitating communication across the multidisciplinary breast cancer care team and ensuring continuity of care across hospital and community settings. This position contributes to evidence-based clinical practice, education, and the development of supportive care pathways for people affected by breast cancer, in collaboration with Oncology, Breast Surgery, Palliative Aare, and Allied Health teams.

This is a great opportunity to work as a McGrath Breast Care Nurse, supported by the McGrath Foundation’s well-established education and professional development programs, and to join a collaborative and supportive team culture within Nepean Hospital.
If you are passionate about improving the experience of people diagnosed with breast cancer and want to be part of a respected, supportive clinical team, we encourage you to apply.
