Where you'll be working

Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service, office located at Macquarie Hospital, North Ryde and Mona Vale Hospital.

What you'll be doing

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

The successful candidate will have an understanding of MoH policies, will implement risk management strategies to protect patients, healthcare workers, affiliated clients and carers from acquiring healthcare associated or occupational infections. You will be a clinical expert who through leadership, facilitates excellence in research based clinical practice, education, research and encourages professional development.

  1. Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with 5 years post registration experience and at least 3 years in the specialty of Infection Prevention and Control. In addition, the applicant must have an approved Post Graduate qualification relevant to the field of practice, or significant evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
  2. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums.
  3. Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems including data management software, and experience in the Development of policies, procedures and speciality education programs.
  4. Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management, cultural change processes.
