Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in Endocrinology is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides expert clinical care, leadership, education, and coordination for patients with endocrine disorders. The CNC works collaboratively with endocrinologists, primary care providers, allied health professionals, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Clinical Practice
Provide specialist nursing care for patients with:
- Thyroid disorders
- Adrenal disorders
- Pituitary disorders
- Osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease
- Other complex endocrine disorders
And monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans in collaboration with the endocrinologist.

You will have:
- A current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Have postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate
- Have 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in Endocrinology, research and quality improvement, and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated advanced assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
