About the Role
The Clinical Information Systems (CIS) Trainer supports the delivery and evaluation of high-quality training programs designed to enable safe, effective and confident use of digital workflows across both clinical and non-clinical settings. They will play a vital role in preparing the Mid North Coast Local Health District workforce for the successful implementation of the Single Digit Patient Records (SDPR).
Working under the guidance of the Training Manager, the CIS Trainer facilitates engaging and practical learning experiences, supports staff through digital transformation, and identifies learning needs to ensure targeted and meaningful capability development. The role ensures all training activities align with statewide SDPR standards and the LHD’s readiness and adoption plans.
With strong communication and facilitation skills, and a solid understanding of clinical and operational workflows, the CIS Trainer ensures training content is accurate, relevant and tailored to the needs of diverse staff groups—supporting smooth transition and sustainable adoption of the new digital systems.
There are 2 Full Time Permanent positions on offer with location negotiable within the Mid North Coast Local Health District with offices located in Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
About You
You hold relevant tertiary qualifications and bring strong practical experience in facilitating adult learning programs, combining formal study with hands on delivery in dynamic workplace environments. You have proven experience delivering training programs particularly in digital health, clinical information systems and complex workflow change, designing engaging learning materials, presenting with confidence and tailoring content to connect with diverse audiences.
Highly organised and proactive, you can demonstrate strong planning, time management and coordination skills, enabling you to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. You can communicate clearly and build positive working relationships, with the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders across clinical, operational and project settings.
You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within high performing teams, motivating and coordinating others to achieve shared outcomes and can bring high level proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with eLearning platforms such as My Health Learning to support blended and flexible training approaches.
You hold a current NSW Driver’s Licence and are willing and able to travel, to support training delivery and stakeholder engagement across multiple locations.
