What you'll be doing

We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to deliver exceptional Nutrition and Dietetic services within the Western Sydney Local Health District. This role involves working with both inpatients and outpatients to enhance their nutritional well-being.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments.
  • Provide tailored nutrition support and counselling.
  • Deliver nutrition education sessions for individuals and groups.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise patient care.
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery and documentation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, acceptable to the membership of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia (DAA).   

Selection Criteria:

  1. Up-to-date knowledge and skills in dietetic practice.
  2. Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
  3. Able to work as an effective team member as well as work independently, including flexibility and adaptability to work across facility sites to meet service needs.
  4. Good computer skills, including experience using CBORD Diet Office System and Cerner eMR or equivalent.
  5. Previous experience as a clinical Dietitian.
  6. Demonstrated understanding and application of quality improvement principles.
  7. Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required.
