Remuneration: $73,427 - $104,753 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Parramatta Community Health Centre - (As required across Western Sydeny Local Health District)

Where you'll be working
CAC podiatrists provide foot care to our clients at our community health centres in Auburn, Blacktown, Castle Hill, Merrylands, Mount Druitt, and Parramatta. There is also a home visiting podiatry service that is provided to eligible clients that are housebound.

CAC Podiatrists are expected to work from various locations across WSLHD as reasonably required, including in the client's place of residence as well as in our Community Health Centres.

What you'll be doing 
Chronic and Complex (CAC) Allied Health services focus on restoring, improving, or maintaining older people's independent functioning and wellbeing. The focus of these services is to assist older people to regain or maintain physical, functional, and cognitive abilities which support them to remain living in the community. This position works as a member of a Chronic and Complex multidisciplinary team.

CAC Podiatrists provide assessment, intervention/treatment, and education for clients with foot health issues residing within the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). CAC Podiatrists are responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clients including, but not limited to, assessment of falls risk and pressure injury risk.

WSLHD is a leader in clinical services, research, and education, providing a diverse range of public healthcare to more than 946,000 residents in Sydney’s west and the Greater Western Sydney Region.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Podiatry

  • Registration: Current full registration with AHPRA as a Podiatrist. 

Selection Criteria: 

1.     Demonstrated skills in Podiatry assessment, planning and evaluating interventions for clients with chronic and complex health conditions.

2.     Demonstrated understanding of the health and associated care needs of persons with complex, chronic and/or aged conditions residing in the community.

3.     Able to utilise relevant evidence based, best practice guidelines to guide decision making for best client outcomes.

4.     High-level written and oral communication skills, computer competence and ability to use electronic medical records, word processing and databases.

5.     Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.

6.     Hold a current driver's license valid in Australia and willingness to use for work purposes
