What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers prior to commencing, or degree in psychology and evidence of registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in psychosocial assessment and intervention with children, adolescents and their families/carers across a wide variety of presenting issues across the life span including people affected by domestic violence, postnatal depression, depression and/or low risk suicide and interpersonal trauma.
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge of Child Protection responding and reporting responsibilities
- Experience in and/or knowledge of the provision of therapeutic models and interventions appropriate for individuals, family and groups.
- Awareness of and/or experience working with people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, those who are culturally and linguistically divers (CALD) and/or come from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or experience working within a Primary Health Care framework, including building effective partnership with other relevant government, non-government and community organisations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, time management and demonstrated ability utilise information technology systems.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. This may include driving long distances across the Local Health District.
