About the role
This leadership position oversees the daily operations of radiography services within the Interventional Cardiology Services (ICS) department, which includes 5 specialised labs. Key responsibilities include:
Managing radiographic services and acting as the Radiation Safety Officer across all ICS labs.
Providing strategic and operational support to radiographic and nursing staff, including rostering, training, and policy development.
Ensuring compliance with quality assurance, equipment maintenance, radiation safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
Supporting PACS systems and vendor coordination, including cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and equipment integration.
Collaborating with the ICS Nurse Manager on service delivery, budgeting, risk management, and performance monitoring.
Leading multidisciplinary initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice, and maintaining accurate radiation dose records in line with EPA regulations.
About you
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership, and operational insight to the role. Key attributes include:
Qualified Medical Radiation Science (MRS) professional with experience managing radiography services in complex interventional environments.
Extensive experience in Medical Radiation Science, particularly in interventional radiography.
Proven ability to manage complex clinical environments and technical equipment across multiple labs.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance, and accreditation standards.
Skilled in coordinating care, developing clinical workflows, and supporting operational leadership.
Committed to staff education, mentoring, and collaborative practice.
Flexible and available for after-hours on-call and clinical duties as required.
