Successful applicants will be required to travel across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) facilities in accordance with operational and business requirements.
 
Where you'll be working
 
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.

The role
 
The Change Manager will be part of the SESLHD Strategy, Innovation and Improvement Directorate (SI&I). SI&I works with staff across the organisation at all levels to build capacity and deliver on our ambitious transformation strategy. Drawing on expertise in change management methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma and Quality Improvement, the Change Manager assumes a leadership role and provides expert advice on change management matters, strategies and solutions. This position will lead a range of district wide strategic and operational initiatives to bring about new ways of organising people, processes and resources that achieves greater scale, effectiveness, sustainability and efficiency. It will drive faster adoption of change, business process improvement, benefits realisation and sustained business outcomes through effective stakeholder management. The Change Manager will manage and coordinate designated key programs and projects, developing and implementing project management plans to ensure the success of the project and providing specialist advice as required. The position is also responsible for applying expert skills, knowledge and experience to investigate and facilitate solutions to system problems, improving quality, productivity and efficiency in alignment with the organisation’s strategic priorities. Please note that the role has a District remit and as such may be located at any location across the District.

Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in change management in health or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Demonstrated well-developed understanding of change management and quality improvement methodologies and experience in leading change management and business process improvement.
  3. Demonstrated experience in applying a structured change management approach and methodology, developing change management strategies based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  4. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Demonstrated experience managing and overseeing project delivery, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, issue and risk management and managing budgets.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a project team environment within a complex organisation influencing others to move toward a common vision or goal.
  7. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication, consultation and negotiation skills necessary to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  8. Current unrestricted driver’s licence which is valid in NSW (Class C licence or equivalent) and ability to travel as required.
