Remuneration: $109,857 – $129,624 per annum

Where you'll be working
Westmead Hospital is the largest tertiary referral hospital within NSW providing comprehensive health services to one of the fastest growing areas in Australia. It is part of the Westmead Health Precinct incorporating adult & paediatric services with the adjacent Children’s Hospital Westmead, the Westmead Institute of Medical Research and the University of Sydney. The Department of Haematology incorporates all aspects of clinical haematology including malignant & classical programs, the Blood Transplant & Cell Therapies group and the Amyloid service.
This position plays an integral role in the Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapies (BTCT) department to meet data quality requirements, ensure the extensive reporting standards in the agreement with vendors and the Ministry of Health are met and to ensure the department is meeting the accreditation standards for Car T-cell therapy.
This position will be responsible for development and implementation of new forms, methods and databases to collect cell therapy data and for the high quality analysis and reporting of the data as requested and required.

- Appropriate post-graduate tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management, Information Technology or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated experience in the health system.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of effective data collection, management and interrogation with an understanding of data quality assurance with regards to monitoring, integrity, access and security with clinical databases.
- Demonstrated knowledge relating to implementation of data quality improvements, quality processes and audit systems.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in the development of projects and monitor the achievement of targets and deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to produce high quality reports.
- Demonstrated experience with statistical programs, such as SPSS.
- Proven conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to analyse data and interpret information from different sources.
