About the Role

The Operations Assistant role is a hands-on role, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of surgical services while also assisting across the hospital as needed.

Key responsibilities include supporting theatre lists, transporting patients throughout the facility, and providing general assistance with linen, beds, stores, and equipment. You’ll also carry out cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic environment and follow infection control and manual handling procedures to ensure safety for patients and staff.

Accurate documentation and effective communication with colleagues are essential, and you'll contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the unit. If you're reliable, proactive, and keen to support quality patient care, we encourage you to apply.

About You

  • You have experience in a care setting, cleaning, or general support work in health or aged care, and you’re confident working independently with minimal supervision.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully, work well in a team, and follow direction when needed.
  • You’re comfortable in a theatre environment, willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays, and understand safe manual handling and workplace safety practices.
