About The Opportunity
The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is responsible for the coordination of patient services, unit management and nursing staff management within the ward consistent with the strategic directions of Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, ward management and leadership of the professions of nursing and midwifery to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources
About the Opportunity
As the Nursing Unit Manager Level 3, you will provide clinical leadership and operational management for the Diabetes Services team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. This role holds overall accountability for client outcomes, workforce leadership, and the effective use of resources. In this role you will:
• Lead and coordinate client care delivery, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and clinical governance.
• Provide professional leadership and management of nursing staff, supporting development, performance, and workforce capability.
• Manage patient flow, resources, and financial performance to support efficient and sustainable service delivery.

We are looking for someone who has:
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Extensive recent post registration clinical experience and knowledge of current nursing and midwifery issue in the required speciality
• Proven leadership and management capability, with experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-focused care, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
• Strong communication, change management, and financial management skills within a complex healthcare environment.
