This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

Lead a specialised physiotherapy service and make a meaningful impact in women’s and men’s health across the Central Coast.


About the Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role delivering specialised Physiotherapy services in women’s and men’s health, including continence care, across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work collaboratively with leadership to drive service excellence, clinical governance, and workforce capability. In this role you will:


• Provide clinical and administrative leadership to deliver high quality, evidence based Physiotherapy services.
• Maintain an advanced clinical caseload within women’s and men’s health and continence management.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and support the development of safe and effective clinical practices.
• Supervise, mentor and support staff, Allied Health Assistants and students to build workforce capability.
• Manage resources, contribute to service planning, and support recruitment and team performance.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• Extensive post graduate experience in continence Physiotherapy across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in supervision, service development and workforce planning.
• Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to lead quality improvement and implement evidence based clinical practice.
