About the role
As part of the Belmont Hospital Casual Pool, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to pick up shifts that suit your lifestyle while building your clinical experience and confidence. You’ll work across a variety of wards and clinical areas, gaining exposure to diverse patient presentations and care settings — no two days are the same!
Your role as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) will focus on delivering safe, person-centred care under the supervision of Registered and Enrolled Nurses. You’ll assist with daily living activities, support patients and their families, and contribute to maintaining a positive and respectful ward environment.
To help you thrive, you’ll receive two days of comprehensive orientation and mandatory training, followed by supernumerary time on inpatient units to help you settle in and learn the ropes.
About you
You are patient-focused, enthusiastic, and eager to grow in your nursing career. You bring strong communication skills, a compassionate approach, and a genuine desire to support patients through their care journey. You’re also committed to building your time management and teamwork abilities — key traits that will set you up for success in this rewarding role.
Requirements
Our successful candidates will possess one of the following:
- Current enrolment in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and at least the first semester or trimester of the second year), or
- Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
