About the Role
As a Sterilisation Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining patient and staff safety by ensuring reusable medical instruments are cleaned, disinfected, sterilised and prepared for use to the highest standard.
In this physically demanding and highly responsible role, you will contribute directly to infection prevention and the smooth functioning of the operating theatres and Central Sterilising Department.
Your daily responsibilities include:
• Working across both the Central Sterilising Department (CSD) and operating theatres
• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling and sterilising surgical instruments and endoscopes
• Collaborating closely with theatre and sterilisation teams to maintain safe, efficient workflows
• Participating in rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
• Engaging in ongoing professional development, with support to attend workshops and conferences relevant to sterilisation practice

About You
You are an enthusiastic and reliable team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospital environment and understands the critical importance of infection control. You take pride in producing work of the highest standard, are physically fit, and are committed to learning and professional growth.
You will have:
• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or be currently undertaking the qualification or willing to obtain it within 12 months)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• High attention to detail and adherence to safety and infection-control procedures
• The physical capability to meet the demands of a manual role
• A commitment to ongoing training and development
