What you'll be doing
Join our team as a Carpenter at WSLHD, working a 9-day fortnight, where you will play a key role in maintaining building fabric and ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance activities efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with standards and legislation.
- Support the trade team and assist with planning.
- Maintain safety and compliance records.
- Liaise with stakeholders to minimise service disruptions

Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Trade qualification in carpentry with a tradesman's certificate of competency.
- Carpenter Level 1: Completed Apprenticeship and/or holds relevant trade certificate or equivalent
- Carpenter Level 2: 120 hours of approved courses completed
- Carpenter Level 3: 240 hours of approved courses completed
- Carpenter Level 4: 360 hours of approved courses completed
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working with power tools and wood cutting machinery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building and construction related Work Health and Safety guidelines. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and successfully undertake work in a busy, dynamic role with a minimum of supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software programs (eg: Word, Excel, Outlook).
- The ability to maintain stock and workflow in a Carpentry workshop.
