What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. Assist in the provision ofIntensive Care service at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospitals through medical management, giving clinical direction to,and in collaboration with, other Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and facility staff. This care will be provided within the clinicalprivileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.The Career Medical Officer (CMO) provides high quality clinical service to the Department of Intensive Care Medicine.The CMO has the requisite knowledge, skills and experience needed to operate independently as an Intensive Caremedical practitioner. This is achieved through structured and supervised observation of, exposure to, andmanagement of critically ill patients, along with participation in ICU educational and quality assurance activities.

How to Apply

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
2. Minimum 8 years postgraduate experience.
3. Proficiency in advanced resuscitation skills, airway management, vascular access and other ICU related procedures.
4. Previous experience in tertiary hospitals with exposure to a broad range of critical care.
5. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
6. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other medical, nursing and allied health staff in a multidisciplinary health care team.
7. Demonstrated commitment to self-education and evidence of continuing professional development in Intensive Care Medicine.
