Manning Base Hospital is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates with registration with the Medical Board of Australia, a minimum of two years’ Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) experience, and the ability to manage a busy birthing unit with specialist support.

About the Role & Department
Join a dynamic and supportive team in a well-established O&G department featuring:
 

  • A busy birthing suite with approximately 650 deliveries per year 
  • After hours on call and weekend commitment is 1:4
  • Comprehensive outpatient services including: 

     

    -Antenatal Clinic (ANC) 
    -Gynaecology 
    -High-Risk Obstetrics 
    -Colposcopy  

  • Surgical services including minimally invasive, open, and laparoscopic procedures 
  • Strong JMO support, including: 
  • Accredited Registrars / Rural Generalists 
  • SRMOs and RMOs 
  • Close collaboration with a well-established Paediatrics Department, including a Special Care Nursery 
  • Academic links with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health 
  • Teaching opportunities for Years 3–5 (Joint Medical Program) 
  • Conjoint Academic appointments encouraged (commensurate with experience)
