About the role

Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a dedicated Career Medical Officer (CMO) to provide high-level, independent medical care across the Emergency Department and inpatient wards.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the assessment, investigation, and initial management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department. You’ll work under the supervision of specialist emergency physicians and contribute to the support and supervision of junior medical staff, helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and team-oriented clinical environment.

This position also provides a valuable pathway for professional development, offering structured support to complete the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) or Emergency Medicine Diploma (EMD) through the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
