About the role

 

Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Career Medical Officer (CMO) to join the Emergency Department team.

 

This role provides high-level, independent medical care, including the assessment, investigation and initial management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department and those admitted to inpatient wards.

 

Working under the supervision of specialist Emergency Physicians, the CMO will play a key leadership role within the department, providing supervision, clinical guidance and support to junior medical staff.

 

This position also supports progression toward the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) or Emergency Medicine Diploma (EMD) through the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM), offering valuable professional development within a dynamic clinical environment.

 

This position is primarily based at Lismore Base Hospital however rotations to Ballina District Hospital and Casino and District Memorial Hospital may be required.
