What you'll be doing
The purpose of the position is the provision of safe and effective emergency care to patients who present to the Emergency Department
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Five years postgraduate hospital experience.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine such that the applicant can safely manage as the most senior person in a mixed Adult / Paediatric Emergency Department.
- Advanced Resuscitation Skills for both Adult and Paediatric Emergency medicine including Rapid Sequence Endotracheal Intubation and familiarity of Invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Procedural ability including but not limited to ultrasound guided insertion of Central Lines and Arterial Lines, thoraco-centesis and thoracostomy placement.
- Ability to manage Shock including Inotropic Support.
- High level of Communication and Interpersonal Skills/ability to work in a team.
