About Your Role
This position is a key role within the Healthy Children and Families clinical stream. The practitioner is a valued team member and resource to provide the Healthy Children and Families clinicians and leaders with insight into cultural issues for children and families in the MLHD.
This position acts as a conduit for liaison with other community organisations, including non-government agencies and First Nations specific services (including for example, playgroups).
This position would be expected to promote the value of the healthy children and families clinical programs across cultural networks within the MLHD.
In addition, this role would be responsible to educate and support to staff in relation to best practice in culturally competent healthcare, as well as general cultural information about health beliefs and issues for community.
