Where you'll be working
Haematology Department Royal North Shore Hospital.

What you'll be doing
This position plays an integral role in the FACT Accredited BMTCT program, one of the leading transplant centres in the state, within the Department of Haematology at Royal North Shore Hospital. The service receives patients from referral centres throughout the state and has recently been approved as a new centre to deliver Standard of Care CAR T-cell therapy. Central to the role is data collection and submission to national and international registries. Responsible for accurate data reporting and high-quality analysis which will ultimately improve and impact clinical care and patient outcomes.  Compliance with regulations and accreditation and standards and quality standards are key to the role. You will be the primary contact with the registries and the program regarding information and technical issues relating to the program’s data.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Appropriate post-graduate tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management, Information Technology or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated experience in the health system.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of effective data collection, management and interrogation with an understanding of data quality assurance with regards to monitoring, integrity, access and security with clinical databases.
  3. Familiarity relating to implementation of data quality improvements, quality processes and audit systems.
  4. Recognised proficiency in a range of computer application systems including Microsoft Office applications, Patient Administration Systems and databases/electronic data capture systems and experience with statistical software such as R, SPSS, Stata.
