About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Technician to play a vital role in supporting clinical teams through the maintenance and management of life-saving medical equipment.
In this critical role, you will:
- Conduct electrical safety and performance testing of biomedical equipment in line with AS/NZS 3551:2012.
- Perform planned and corrective maintenance, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices, as well as decommissioning and disposal.
- Provide technical support to clinical users and liaise with departments to coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records using the Asset and Facility Management Online (AFMO) system.
- Participate in contractor management, documentation, and on-call service rosters as required.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hospital or health sector environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in medical electronics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and database tools.
- A current Class C Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across MLHD.
