About the role 
With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we are enhancing health and wellness while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia. 

As a key business partner to Deputy Secretary’s and Executive Directors at the Ministry of Health you will work in partnership to provide strategic and operational advice, support and solutions to broad business issues to enable the delivery of strategic objectives. 

In this role, you will lead and mentor a Senior P&C Business Partner, providing strategic guidance, coaching and professional development while overseeing the delivery of high‑quality People & Culture services across a defined portfolio. You will be a key member of the People & Culture leadership team, working alongside dedicated P&C professionals who are committed to delivering impactful workforce solutions for the Ministry of Health.

Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing  

  • Lead, facilitate and manage the development and implementation of a range of complex projects including culture, engagement, diversity and inclusion, talent management and workforce planning initiatives to develop a high performing culture and to build employee and organisational capability.
  • Manage the human element of organisational change programs (including restructures and realignments) to support the improvement of organisational processes and structures, ensuring the application of best practice.
  • Provide high level and expert advice to the Executive and other key stakeholders on strategies, risks, issues and trends to facilitate informed decision making.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, strategic and operational P&C services aligned with Ministry priorities and business outcomes.
  • Lead and manage a Senior P&C Business Partner, providing clear strategic direction, performance oversight and capability development to ensure high quality and consistent advice across the portfolio.  
     

About you  
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:  

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated partnering experience with executives to lead organisational-wide projects to meet business objectives.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
