Where You’ll Be Working
Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation care for up to 16 patients, along with outpatient and Hydrotherapy services. The service plays a vital role as a link between acute medical services and community-based care, supporting patients to safely and confidently reintegrate back into the community. The team takes a holistic, patient-centred approach to rehabilitation, working closely with patients and their families to promote independence, recovery and wellbeing. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive environment that values teamwork, learning and connection.
About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will support patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of Enrolled and Registered Nurses. You’ll contribute to rehabilitation care by assisting patients to regain function, independence and confidence as they work toward their individual recovery goals.
When patient numbers at Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital are low, you may be redeployed to Manning Base Hospital, where you’ll continue working under the supervision of an Enrolled or Registered Nurse. This role operates on a 7-day rotating roster, offering variety and flexibility.
This position is ideal for nursing staff who are passionate about rehabilitation nursing and keen to build their clinical experience in a supportive, team-based environment
