Denman Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) is seeking a compassionate and reliable Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Hunter Valley.

Located in the charming township of Denman—just 25 km from Muswellbrook—our community is known for its welcoming atmosphere, boutique shops, and vibrant local cafés. About the Role

As an AIN at Denman MPS, you will support a team of skilled nurses in delivering high-quality care to 14 residential aged care residents, as well as assisting within our active 2-bed Emergency Department when required. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about aged care, values teamwork, and can also work independently with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care to elderly residents
  • Assist nursing staff with clinical and daily care tasks
  • Monitor and report changes in resident conditions
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team
  • Recognise and escalate concerns appropriately

 

About You

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in aged care or a similar setting (desirable)
  • A genuine passion for caring for older people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
  • Sound clinical awareness and judgment, including escalation of issues
