As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you will play an important role in supporting the nursing team within an acute care environment. Under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Midwives, you will provide direct care to patients in accordance with their individual nursing care plans. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care interventions that fall within your scope of practice, contributing to the collection of accurate health care information, and ensuring documentation is maintained to a high standard. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team, always adhering to appropriate protocols and professional standards.

What you will bring to the role
- Currently enrolled at university as a 2nd year undergraduate student nurse 1st semester
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to patient care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal
- Previous experience working in an acute care setting
- Ability to work a flexible roster
- Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation Category A
