What you'll be doing
This role involves delivering exceptional patient-centred care in a health service setting to optimise health outcomes. You will work collaboratively under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Midwife. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Providing personalised care to patients/clients.
  • Supporting health interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe and hygienic care environment.
  • Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Following guidance and direction from the Registered Nurse/Midwife.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Successful completion of Certificate III Acute Care (HLT33115) with experience in acute care environments deemed appropriate by WSLHD or documented evidence of placement in 1st Year as an undergraduate Registered Nurse at tertiary level documented evidence of enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115)
  2. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  3. Demonstrated ability to use information technology systems
  4. Proven ability to be self-motivated, flexible and adaptive as clinical needs arise, and still remain within the scope of practice of an AIN
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
  6. Demonstrate effective verbal and written skills, , including the ability to communicate with the multidisciplinary health care team
