NBMLHD is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Nepean Redevelopment Project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of NSW’s major health infrastructure programs, ensuring our new facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and optimised for long-term performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all Asset and Facility Management components across the Redevelopment Projects on behalf of the NBMLHD. You will work across complex interfaces between new infrastructure and existing NBMLHD assets, infrastructure, and utilities ensuring alignment with the Local Health District’s operational and strategic objectives.
You will facilitate and participate in Project User Groups, Working Groups and Committees during the capital delivery process as required and assist the Project Team and Department Managers with advice and solutions to challenges as they arise whilst leading the Nepean Redevelopment Asset Team. This position will see you responsible for relevant project deliverables in coordination with project partners and stakeholders.

What you will bring to the role:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or Trade Qualifications in Project Management, Facility Maintenance and/or Building Construction including disruptions and defects liabilities. Demonstrated experience at a management level in building services or in an engineering environment.
- Extensive experience in a complex health environment, with a sound understanding of clinical service systems and delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead a project team to ensure project deliverables are met on time and budget.
- Understanding and knowledge of engineering and facility management responsibilities, including but not limited to compliance codes, standards and procedures relevant to Hospitals and Healthcare facilities and the ability to conduct and supervise works at a level that complies with these codes and standards.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, through all organisational levels.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and contextualise information, and prepare written reports/documentation.
- Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to gain an understanding, of the complex NSW Health planning environment and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment. Experience in strategic and/or business and/or service planning projects, preferably in a health planning environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a proven ability to prepare project and meeting documentation, including briefs, project plans, presentations, agendas, meeting minutes etc.
- Computer literacy and an understanding of computerised building and maintenance management systems, computer aided drafting, project management systems and corporate record systems.
