About the Opportunity

As an Application Support Officer in the Health Support Applications team at eHealth NSW, you will provide day-to-day support and administration for Health Support Operations applications, including On Call responsibilities. The key aspect of this role is to provide systems administration, support, problem solving, responding to incidents and requests, testing, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The broader aspect is to ensure compliance with a strong focus on customer service in accordance with service level agreements for NSW Health.

This role offers the opportunity to utilise your skill set to support NSW Health across multiple Health Support applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational support for users of Emergency Services Support, Food, Nutrition & Linen, and Rostering applications, and other Health supported applications.
  • Investigate technical or application related issues and collaborate with senior team members to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop testing schedules to optimise the availability of testing resources.
  • Assess, categorise, and prioritise customer related queries and concerns to ensure timely and effective resolution based on impact and urgency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to continually improve efficiencies and effectiveness including preparing procedural documents.

About you

We are looking for someone has:

  • Experience in an IT support and customer service role, which has required the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, along with experience in developing technical and client facing documents.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritising and responding to conflicting deadlines and achieve business focused solutions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale and complex payroll, rostering, food, linen or emergency service operations applications.
  • Practical knowledge of ticket management tools such as ServiceNow and ITIL Methodologies.
