Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. We are looking for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Allied Health Assistant who is responsible for the provision of support for Allied Health services at Nepean Hospital.
As part of our Allied Health team, you will help deliver culturally safe care and improve health outcomes for our community across all areas of Nepean Hospital.
Your key qualities will include building strong, respectful relationships with community members, having an understanding of local cultural protocols, being compassionate, reliable and committed to improving community health outcomes, as well as communicating effectively and being a team player.

What you will bring to the role
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant equivalent qualification or willingness to complete the required skills and competencies for the role.
- Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities as delegated.
- Demonstrate computer literacy.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
