Advanced Trainee

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
2. Successful completion of the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and Viva or similar is preferred and eligible to undertake subspecialty training in this specialty in Australia.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
4. Demonstrated high level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience
5. Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
6. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
7. Demonstrated high level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.
8. Demonstrated evidence and commitment of continued professional development and self-education. Demonstrated experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training with skills to teach and support Junior Medical Staff.
