- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Satisfactorily completed a minimum of four (4) years of accredited Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZO) training at the commencement of the clinical year.
- Successful completion of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Pathology exams.
- Have passed the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists RACE II examinations or enrolled to complete them during 2025.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management and confirmed record of exemplary patient management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care and commitment to the work organisation.
- Demonstrated high level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations, including supervision of other clinical staff.
