About the Team

BreastScreen NSW Hunter New England provides free screening mammograms to eligible women across the Hunter region through our fixed screening sites at Waratah and Green Hills, as well as our mobile screening units that travel to regional and rural communities.

Our team is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful and supportive experience for every client. We work collaboratively to ensure women have access to life-saving breast screening services, regardless of where they live.

 

About the Role

As an Administration Officer, you will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, playing a vital role in creating a positive and professional experience from their initial enquiry through to their screening appointment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality customer service via telephone, email and face-to-face interactions.
  • Booking appointments and responding to client enquiries.
  • Conducting follow-up calls to clients who have missed appointments or have not responded to screening invitations.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and data entry across a range of electronic systems.
  • Managing filing and administrative processes while ensuring privacy and confidentiality requirements are met.
  • Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to support service delivery.
  • Assisting with the operation of mobile screening units, including general housekeeping duties and equipment checks.
  • Supporting a safe working environment by identifying and reporting workplace health and safety concerns.


This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to women's health across the Hunter New England region where you will work across fixed screening sites and mobile services, with opportunities to travel throughout the Hunter New England region.

Essential Requirements

  • Applicants must be female. Exemption is claimed under Section 31(2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act.
  • Current NSW Driver Licence (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Ability to work various shifts and travel on mobile screening units as rostered.
  • Ability to work away from home for up to six days at a time when rostered to a mobile screening unit.
