What you'll be doing
The role of the Ward Clerk is to provide safe and effective support to the staff, patients/clients and carers of Western Sydney Local Health Network by carrying out reception duties for the ward/s, developing and maintaining systems that provide timely and accurate data and information to support the nursing staff in the provision of care and by providing friendly and professional customer service to families, carers and patients.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience using patient database systems such as iPM or Cerner.
- Demonstrated clerical or administration experience in a health, hospital or medical environment.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Windows including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced environment with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with patients/customers and their families/carers.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
