The SWSLHD – Diagnostic Medical Imaging Department is seeking a confident & dedicated Administration officer who will be working with the admin team, Radiographers, Nurses, Managers & Staff Specialists in providing excellent administration support to the entire department. Southwestern Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is focused on achieving our Vision of Leading Care, healthier communities. 

  • To provide a high standard of admin support to our Inpatient/ Outpatient Services including all clinics, women’s health & GP services.  
  • To promote the health of the residents of the district and patients using our health services through the delivery of high-quality healthcare. 
 

Are You the Right Fit? 
The ideal candidate demonstrates the following: 

  • Strong computer literacy and experience working with clinical and administrative systems, ideally including Cerner eMR and/or Karisma. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patient bookings, maintain calendars, and perform accurate data entry with a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Previous administrative experience in a healthcare environment, with an understanding of patient-facing reception and clerical duties. Radiology experience is a plus.  
  • Proven ability to support billing processes and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. 
  • Available to work a 5-day week, 8 hours per day, and committed to providing high-quality administrative support to the team. 
 

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  1. Experience working in a similar administrative role in a health setting environment, including reception, bookings, and telephone enquiries as an effective team member.
  2. Demonstrated computer skills particularly MS Office - word processing, Excel, Outlook (emailing) & data entry. Knowledge of RIS/PACS & Medical Terminology would be an added advantage.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including attention to detail with good listening skills when communicating with patients, health professionals, and the general public.
  4. Comprehension of the need for accuracy in all documentation related to clinic bookings and patient registration. Prioritise tasks in a busy environment & possess a positive attitude with sound work ethics.
