Where You’ll Be Working
You’ll be joining the Community Health & Aged Care Services teams in Taree and Forster, part of the broader Integrated Care Services – Hunter & Lower Mid North Coast.
The successful candidate will support a collaborative and highly engaged multidisciplinary team across both locations. We are committed to delivering patient-centred care, enhancing health and wellbeing in our community, and creating a supportive, respectful, and proactive workplace culture.
Our administration team is known for its professionalism, flexibility, and team spirit.
You’ll be part of a group that values shared learning, strong communication, and daily teamwork to keep things running smoothly for clinicians and clients alike.
About the Role
This is a busy, client-facing role offering a wide variety of administrative responsibilities across our Taree and Forster Community Health Centres. No two days will be the same - you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our clients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Delivering excellent face-to-face customer service
- Responding to telephone and walk-in enquiries
- Updating client demographic information and opening Service Requests
- Booking appointments and managing basic schedules
- Scanning and uploading documents into internal systems
- Preparing materials for mailouts and supporting clinicians with general admin tasks
- You’ll work closely with other admin staff, nursing and allied health professionals, and management, contributing to a culture that prioritises respect, patient dignity, and community engagement.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, friendly, and capable - someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and thrives in a supportive team environment.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- A positive and professional attitude, even under pressure
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and listening
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks or situations
- Confidence working with digital systems and handling client data
- A non-judgmental, empathetic nature and commitment to quality service
- Team spirit – someone who supports colleagues and accepts guidance when needed
- While we can teach you systems like CHIME and iPM, a friendly attitude, good communication, and strong interpersonal skills are non-negotiable.
Support and Development
You won’t be left to figure things out on your own. From day one, you’ll be trained by experienced Level 2 Administration Officers.
You’ll be guided through CHIME and iPM training and given time to gain confidence and independence.
This is a role where your growth will be encouraged and supported - not just initially, but throughout your time with us.
Why Join Us?
You’ll be part of a team that’s making a real difference in people’s lives every day, right in the heart of your local community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to healthcare from behind the scenes while building valuable administrative and customer service skills in a stable, flexible environment.
