Where You’ll Be Working

This position is based at Maitland Hospital, supporting the Allied Health Senior Leaders across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Speech Pathology and Social Work. Maitland Hospital is a modern facility that opened in 2022 and offers free onsite parking. The Allied Health teams provide a wide range of services to inpatients and outpatients within the Maitland community. The Allied Health team values collaboration, teamwork and innovation. About the Role

Maitland Hospital is seeking a motivated and capable professional to provide high-quality administrative support to the Allied Health Heads of Discipline and Maitland Hospital Site Seniors, under the guidance of the Director of Allied Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative and clerical support to Allied Health Senior Leaders

  • Coordinating patient appointments and liaising with internal departments and external providers

  • Assisting with staff rostering, timesheets and workforce systems

  • Supporting inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies

  • Managing a range of general administrative tasks to support patient care

Day-to-day duties include supporting teams with staffing and rostering, ordering and other administrative functions. The role is 22 hours per week, with flexibility around days and hours to suit individual needs.

You will work autonomously while maintaining close contact with managers across the five Allied Health professions in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Strong organisational and time management skills are essential, and previous experience in rostering is highly regarded.

Support & Development

You will be supported by the Director of Allied Health and the wider administrative team at Maitland Hospital. A comprehensive orientation will be provided to ensure a smooth and supported transition into the role. Ongoing support will include regular catch-ups with the Director of Allied Health and the Allied Health Heads of Discipline to assist with workload planning and task management. The Administration Manager at Maitland Hospital will also provide support as required.
